1 Samuel 12: 20 "Do not be afraid," Samuel replied. "You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart.
All I ask God is that He may teach me His ways and that even when I do evil in His eyes, I may cling to Him and do what Samuel tells Israel to do. I know my deeds and I am not so very different from Israel. What I do hope is that in the end I do what Samuel says and that is to not turn away from the LORD but to serve Him with all my heart. It's sometimes not easy because just like worshiping idols got in the way for the Israelite to keep their hearts consecrated to the LORD, so there are things in my heart that want to be my idols. But that is why I always know that going back to Jesus when I feel I have lost my way is the only thing that can make everything right again. :)
